Conquering Slopes, Powering Bhutan: The Jamjee 120 MW Solar Journey

When we first stood on the rugged hills of Jamjee, staring at a 35° sloped terrain, we knew this wasn’t going to be an ordinary solar project. It was going to be a challenge—a challenge we were ready to embrace.
On 16th August 2025, our vision took a historic leap forward as the Prime Minister of Bhutan inaugurated the groundbreaking ceremony. That moment wasn’t just symbolic; it was a promise that Bhutan is ready to lead its own renewable future.

What makes Jamjee special? It’s the largest solar power project in Bhutan, and it’s being executed by a Bhutanese firm—us. Every panel we install on these steep slopes is a testament to local capability, resilience, and innovation. Designing for such terrain isn’t easy; it demands precision engineering, advanced anchoring systems, and a commitment to safety at every step.
We’re proud to have Hild Energy Pvt. Ltd. from India as our primary design partner, bringing their expertise to complement our on-ground execution. Together, we’re not just building a solar farm—we’re setting a benchmark for what’s possible in challenging environments.
Jamjee is more than a project. It’s a story of ambition, collaboration, and the belief that Bhutan can power its future sustainably, even when the path is steep—literally.
Stay tuned as we turn this vision into reality, one panel at a time.
